| Visit Guest BookSteve Hermanson "Herm" Steve passed away unexpectedly on February 25, 2011. He was born April 17, 1952 in Clovis, New Mexico to Ramon and Gloria Hermanson. He married the love of his life, Claire, on February 20, 2001 in the Bountiful Temple for time and all eternity. Steve's passion in life was serving and helping everyone he came in contact with. He was a captain/ paramedic for Salt Lake City Fire Department for 37 years, during which time he worked for Life Flight, Air Med, and several other jobs teaching and training. He was on Solitude Ski Patrol for 20 years. The greatest gift he gave was donating his organs to save another life. His greatest love was his wife, Claire; being with family and friends, running, cycling and tinkering on cars. Steve is survived by his loving wife, Claire; brother-in-laws, Michael (Diane) Bench and Kim Bench; his nephews and nieces; and extended family (The Petersons)-all of whom he loved dearly. Also survived by his mother; two sisters; and two daughters. Preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Marie Bench; sister-in-law, Lori Bench; and father, Ramon Hermanson. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Belview Ward located at 6300 South 3rd East. A viewing will be Friday, March 4, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley Mortuary, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 South) and from 9:30-10:45 a.m. on Saturday at the church prior to services. Interment: Murray City Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.jenkins-soffe.com
