True Blue at BYU

Life has been go, go, go here in Cougartown. Between the Daily News, BYU Broadcasting, church, and a slight semblance of a social life, I've had little time to think. Or breathe for that matter. I'm reporting for the news two days a week, Tuesday and Thursday. There is a live feed that you can watch at 4:30 pm MST at http://newsnet.byu.edu . I've done seven stories so far and I still have two more to go. It would be a lot easier if I didn't have to wear heels...or dress pants. I've decided I'm going to create the "Beach Bum News Network" and do the news in my jeans, t-shirts and flip flops.

Work has been going well, my boss has been out of the country for multiple weeks leaving me to be a glorified answering machine. He also left me to edit together some BYU football games which has been pretty fun. Getting paid to watch sports--I'm alright with that.

At the end of May I got called as the Relief Society President for my ward so that's been keeping me fairly busy as I learn the ropes and try and get things organized. The ward fluctuates so much during the Spring and Summer terms that it's constant reorganization. But it's a nice "training" type period for the "real" stuff. It's gonna be a bumpy ride.

My mom visited me over the weekend for my birthday, which was rock awesome. I miss my family so much being away from them for so long. It's amazing how the older I get, the more I call home. And, amazingly, for things besides money. Haha. It was great to have mom here and I'm really thankful my dad (and siblings) let her come and spend time with me.

Well, other than that, it's just my constant resurgence of homework and trying to find boys that AREN'T stupid to date...it's a tough quest...but I think I'm up for it.

Oh. And I'd like to let you all know that my count for times meeting Coach (Bronco) Mendenhall this year is up to 5. Yes, friends, it's good to be famous. Hahaha.

For the Cougars of BYU...This is Siovhan...signing off.
