Pinegars Take Over as President and Matron at Manti Temple

Ella Dean Hunter wrote: Hi
I have been wondering, did your new Presidency begin at the temple yet?  I've been curious as to who the new presidency are.
I plan on coming over on the 11th to do some initiatory and sealings, with my daughter and son-in-law.  I know you won't be there, but just wanted you to know.
I might see some of the workers I should know.
Thanks
Sister Hunter

You will be surprised at the new additions to the chapel. I think you will like the new decorations. You should also like the new restrooms in the foyer. They are really something. They could be found in a castle. The marble is beautiful.

Ed Jolley Pinegar, president of the temple, is a Latter-day Saint author, educator and leader. His books include Look to the Temple, Raising the Bar, and several works dealing with the study of the Book of Mormon.

He was president of the England London South Mission of the church. Ed was later the director of the church's Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah.

Patricia P. Pinegar is the matron. In 1992, Pinegar was appointed as second counselor to Janette C. Hales in the general presidency of the church's Young Women organization. She served in this capacity until 1994, when she became the ninth general president of the Primary. Pinegar served until 1999 and was succeeded by Coleen K. Menlove.

In November 2009, the Pinegars began serving in the Manti Utah Temple, with her as matron and he as president of the temple.
