There are so many things happening to younger and younger people now, it is almost unbelievable. With hard work and determination, he will continue to improve. Will pray for a speedy recovery for him.

More About Todd
Todd did not get to go home Monday. Apparently, he has a mutant form of Factor V. The doctors are not certain what that means as far as blood thinners are concerned. They were going to prescribe a daily aspirin but, for now, they are keeping up the heparin. He should go home Tuesday. He will need therapy for some time although he is walking quite well. So he is going home but will be need to go to a rehabilitation for some time. His vision is still poor and his walking is still affected. It is like walking on a foot that has gone to sleep. He is getting to the pins and needles stage, however. So that is improvement. Others I know have not been so blessed.
The stroke he had was, in all likelihood, caused by Factor V Leiden.
His stake president came to visit him and told him that he had heard of a lot of bishops trying all sorts of things to get out of tithing settlement but this was a first.

Because his left hand does not work well, and he is left-handed, he is having Amy type his responses to text and e-mail messages. He has strength in his grip but the numbness has been a problem. He also is still getting very

The flowers you ordered just came a couple minutes ago. They apologized for the lateness for the delivery, but they are beautiful! Todd says thank you and he took a Zyrtec so he can enjoy them all. :) Thanks for typing this up. Things have been just a bit crazy here. ;) Love, Amy
