to keep you current on Dons' recovery
Hi, folks, to be sure you enjoyed your surpize visit from Melanie. Hope all is well. Just want to let you know I had a really long visit with Don by phone on Saturday past. He has been down for the last two weeks, with his leg, the last one operated on, elevated and taking a course of antibiotics for a very serious infection covering quite an area in his leg. Jon had brought him down to see the Doctor who did the surgery as they thought he had more blood clots. They did two ultrasounds on the leg, and found no clots, but the wide spread infection. Dr. Stone, in Logan, Nathans' father in law is Dons' internist, he has been over three nights after work to check to be sure what is going on. He told Don it was a blessing it was seen and treated as soon as it was or " he could have lost his leg or possibly his life." Don was having alot of pain, which he said is subsiding, also the leg isn't as swollen and red. Don sees Dr. Stone again this week- he says he wants Don to start walking, not as much as he had been doing, but to start exercising his leg so the muscles won't atrophy. Our bodies surely are a wonderment are they not? Hope all is well, and that your shoulder is doing better, Hon. Have a good week. Love Helen
