Tasty Cookies and Fruit Juice

About those tasty cookies that use fruit juice instead of sugar AnnMarie wrote: These look yummy. I am sure you are still checking your blood sugar but these might still spike it. Tropical fruits are really high in sugars and should be used sparingly. Tropical fruits like bananas, kiwi, pineapple, and others are on the be wary list - at least they are in my books.  I wonder what the carb count for the pineapple concentrate is. The walnuts will help. I wonder if you could use some of your homemade applesauce instead of the pineapple juice.

Myrna wrote: I can and did. My sugar didn't go up much. I ate only one. Actually, bananas are higher in sugars than pineapple. Usually, after a meal, my blood sugar has never been over 116. You measure two hours after eating. My was only 110. I was OK. Of course, I had salad, fish and green beans for supper. Then I had one cookie. The exchange was OK since I had no other grains nor fruits.

What did you decide about the kids and tomorrow?

AnnMarie: They want to come down.   I am just trying to figure out how and when.  Rachel doesn't think she wants to sleep there.  I don't finish until close to midnight. I have to pick up the karaoke at 2 and set it up at 8:30. Not sure how to make it all work.

Myrna wrote: Julie said she could bring them down if you wanted her to. You can talk tomorrow. Tell Rachel that Mary is sleeping here.

AnnMarie wrote: OK. I thought I would talk to Julie tomorrow when the girls come during the ultrasound.
