Newsletter From Layton and The Runnin' Utes

This was the info for the November newsletter you sent out. See, I sent it to you on the 27th before we left.

Okay, I feel bad for not getting this in sooner. I really do. We were so good for a few months and then, well, who knows, we were not so good.

October was good month. Dane finished up football and soccer ended for all three older kids. We thought we would have more time to get “things” done. And here it is November and we still have lots of “things” to get done.

Dane and Toren were off track for a couple of weeks in October. Sorina was happy to have the boys home to play with. The weather held and it did not seem like October.

We worked on redoing our parking strip hill. It turned into a bigger project than we planned. However, it looks great and we are excited to see how the 200+ bulbs and plants turn out in the spring. We also moved a wild nectarine tree that had grown on the north side of our house to another part of the yard. We hope that it survives the move. We figure the kids must have discarded a seed. It’s nice to see the life cycle of nature in action.

The storm drain system is almost finished in our neighborhood, so you can actually drive right to our house without taking the scenic route. The plus side of all the construction was all the construction equipment we got to see up close.

Halloween was the highlight of the month for Sorina. She loves Halloween and candy. She was Minnie Mouse for trick-or-treating at Mom’s work and she was a Dora Princess on Halloween. Both times complete with high heel Snow White Princess slippers. We were blessed that Halloween was so warm that she could dress so lightly. Dane was Harry Potter, Toren was Policeman and Brigitta was a Fairy. Brigitta and her Dad made the skirt for her costume together.

That, folks is October in a small nutshell. 
