Dad bought a new battery for the clock in Kirsten's guest room while we were there helping after the baby was born. Between our visit and the baby blessing, Kirsten's mom-in-law stayed in the room. When we arrived for the baby blessing, the clock didn't work again. Julie Waite was driven nuts by the tick-tick-tick. Dad said, "And that was a brand-new battery." Sometimes it pays to be hard of hearing. ;) As for me, I grew up with ticking clocks and they just remind me of my room at home. I had a wind-up alarm all my school years.
We are so happy that you are doing so much better. What a milestone. Back to driving! (AnnMarie tells me that she really objects to using more than one exclamation point at a time or I would have used a bunch. I thought you might be like her. Of course, Kirsten tells me that she objects to those who think they have to comment on every post someone makes. So, there you have it.)
We pray that you will continue to heal quickly. We love you! Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Birthday ahead. You should have received your card. I am sending this to Amy also, in case you are so overwhelmed with email that seeing another one just makes you groan.
Todd wrote prior to the posting above: So, there is a clock on the wall in the bedroom that is battery powered. It still goes tick-tick-tick. At 4:30am this morning, I took the battery out of it. I didn't sleep well last night. Kept thinking about too much on my mind. I was hoping to get a good rest in because I have my eye appointment today and didn't want to show up there tired. Oh well.
Picked up my truck Saturday evening. I drove to church yesterday and back. Spent the afternoon at home, didn't get in a nap, felt really stressed. Now, I have a headache today, I think from not getting enough sleep and the stess of yesterday. I drove in to work today. Had to go around a detour that I forgot was there since I haven't been driving. It has been a good morning at work though. I've been able to meet with people for their reviews, and get caught up on e-mail (a never ending task for me).
I have physical thereapy in an hour and then the eye appointment. Taking my quick 5 minutes to type something to you all, in case anyone was curious how I have been over the past couple of days. I'll add more tonight.
