BISHOPRIC
I am not sure how to get the word out any better than sending an email to everyone. I know that it is Father's Day and most of you will be celebrating with your children and with your awesome spouses, so Happy Father's Day. I am spending a quiet day at home with two of my four children. Braden is out with the Elders, performing service and Howard is at the church. Howard will now be gone every Sunday before I am and will be home every Sunday after I am. He was made a High Priest today and was put in as the Second Counselor in our Bishopric. I am very proud of him.

From Myrna: Congratulations to both you and Howard. How wonderful it is to have such an important calling serving Heavenly Father and ward members. Howard will do a great job. He has always been compassionate and has cared for those who are in real need. Those are good qualities to have. You will find that the whole house radiates with the special blessings of our Father as you all strive to help Howard in this special calling. We love you and sustain you all.

About Camera
Myrna wrote: Kirsten, did you forward Dad's camera to our house here in Nephi? It still hasn't arrived. Love, M
Kirsten wrote: I thought you guys got back tomorrow. So I was waiting for you to get home. I'll send it immediately, so he can have it for Dad's day. How was Todd's?
Kirsten
Myrna wrote: You didn't have to send it the extra-fast way. But thank you. Because you did send it fast, he did have it to use on Father's Day. However, the seller had removed the battery pack. I have contacted him to see what is to be done about that. I had, luckily, purchased another battery pack for a back-up and so was able to put that in and it works just fine. I will send you money to pay for the postage. There is no reason you should have to fork out cash for my mistake in ordering.
Love, M
Kirsten wrote: Mom, save your $7 dollars (it was a whole 50 cents more to send it priority than parcel post); I'll let you treat me to some yummy home-grown apples, peaches and etc. in exchange when I come out to see you this summer. :)
Myrna wrote: It was $10.50. That is what the postage was--$10.50.

Good luck with the battery pack thing. You can always report him to eBay if he doesn't cooperate.

My Camera Was Found!!!!!!!
A kind man found my camera, hurray, rah, rah, ole!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He printed off a couple of photos and took them to the school where the office knew Braden and identified him. He then called and we went to his home and picked up my camera. I tried to give him a reward but it refused it. Instead, I got a kiss on my cheek and a hug. So I now have a camera once again. Three cheers. He had tried to call Braden's cell phone earlier but the school just had his old phone number. The man, named Buddy, had to have the school look up Melanie's phone number and the school had to call her. He gave them permission to give her his phone number so we could call him. He then gave us his address. He said he was just doing what he hoped others would do if they were in the same situation. The first time we called, he was out biking. The second time, he waited for us. I was so happy to have it back. Thanks for the prayers in my behalf.
Congrats! That is wonderful news, and also pretty great that there are still a few honest people around! See you in a couple days!

being sick
Kimberly wrote: Ok, which of you, dad or mom, does not have a good “bedside manner”? Shawn has none, except for maybe Sorina, because she tolerates no less than being treated royally at all times. I thought it was just me that he had no patience for (I ended up with pneumonia over the weekend), but Dane come back form EFY sick and he’s kinda short and mean to him, too. My theory is if you are going to take two days off work the nurse the sick in your family, you shouldn’t try to kill them off why you’re at it or make them wish you’d gone to work. Ok that’s my complaint, thatI may soon forget because I am on drugs.
Myrna wrote: LHT has no beside manner or manners. Well, he manages to take great care of you he just does it so that you wish he wouldn't. You get the drugs but no kindness.
Kimberly wrote: Ok, I was thinking that was the case, but I didn't want to make sterotypical asumptions. :) We may all survive here, but if we don't, you will have a clue as to our fate......

Question about MacBook
Myrna wrote: OK, some of you neither know nor care. For the rest, where is the best place to buy a macbook? I have about 20 prices from different places, including the store in Orem. Of course, that salesman wanted me to buy the kitchen sink to go with it.
Jared wrote: I would recommend Online (apple.com) or Through the official Mac store in Salt Lake.

Todd wrote: Where ever you get the best price is the best place. Everyone is going to try to sell you the kitchen sink. Our neighbor bought theirs at BestBuy.
Kirsten wrote: We just ordered ours from the apple website. They're shipping and customer service is FABULOUS!!!! They sometimes offer discounts through third parties (like major companies, schools, etc.) You could see if anyone has access to those promotions. Jared's dad used to, but not so much anymore with all the restructuring of GM.

Melanie wrote: Jared or Jim are the men to ask. They both research these things thoroughly before they purchase them.

Myrna wrote: Jim can't remember for certain but he thinks he bought his at BestBuy in California. Thanks.
Dad does get a $100 educator's discount. M

Boredom, Dyed my Hair, Sorina and I found camera....PICTURES!
Sorina is sick today, so I had...got to stay home with her from church! We got a bit bored and took the camera out for a spin. I just got my hair dyed, so I put some extra photos of that up there too. Sorina is a wiz with the camera. She took most of the pics of me. Up on the ladder and play house a lot. Which was nice, it made me feel slightly taller. ;) Enjoy, cause we sure did.
