    Just wanted to thank you for all the interesting and informative E-mails that you share with me.  I printed this latest one and several others to share with friends who are fascinated with new insights that validate the Book of Mormon.  We enjoy all you send. 

    Again thank you and I do hope to get to spend some time with you in the future.  I talked to a neighbor the other day who was raised in Nephi and said that he knew you: Robert Parkin.

Monday our annual Olsen Family Reunion begins in Boston on Monday. Ron,
Roxane, Rebecca, and Robin and their families and I will be there. I am
really looking forward to this reunion. Palmyra, Sharon VT, and Kirtland OH
are the additional sites we will be visiting. Russ, Randy, Ryan, and
Rachelle's families are unable to come this time but hopefully next summer
more of us can do the reunion.

By the way, Rebecca and Alan have been married for eight years and last
month called and told me they are are expecting the first and second baby in
January! Oh my goodness, we are all so excited for them.

I love getting your family newsletter each month. It is a wonderful
tradition you are making.

Ronald Nelson and the Perito Moreno Glacier

Perito Moreno Glacier
Amazing natural occurrence!!

It's quite the movie clip, just open up the attachment.  It's of the Perito Moreno Glacier, in Argentina   It depicts a grandstand, where tourists, and visitors can watch the Glacier advancing down the hill, and a glacier ice melt stream from above, flowing through the Glaciers downhill trudge, creating an Ice Tunnel, which eventually melts, and falls into the stream, in bunches and gobs. I have seen similar in spots up in the Columbia ice fields in Alberta, and have seen some on the internet from Iceland, Finland , Norway, the Alps, and also in Tibet - near Katman du. It's quite the video--obviously enthralled the tourists and visitors, and I hope you enjoy it too. This isn't "global warming" happening, it's the natural progression of a glacier, slowly advancing down the hill, due to it's overall weight, and the melting at the bottom there-from. It's pure physics called "calfing." Watch till end to get the full impact!

President Hinckley's 97th birthday, June 23

From Amy J.: I don't know who started this, but I think it's a great idea!!!! So, I sent it on!

As you all know, this June 23rd is Pres. Hinckley's 97th birthday. He has been such a wonderful example for all of us and I think that it is time  we pay him back! One thing that he is known and remembered for is the construction of so many temples around the world. I was thinking that it  would be a wonderful idea if every member possible attended the temple the 
week of June 23 as a way of honoring and thanking Pres. Hinckley for all his years of service to the church.

This is NOT a church sponsored activity, but just a personal thing that I'd like to suggest, so, if you're interested in participating and helping this to happen, please forward this email to as many people that you know and let's see what a difference we can make! I figure that between all of us, we can cover a lot of the country and maybe the world.

Whose Camera Is It?

I was cleaning the floor of the closet in the blue bedroom (where I keep the extra towels in a laundry basket) and found something important. I found a Cannon Sure Shot 115u film camera. It is in a black zippered "mainstays" bag. Whose is it? Love, M

I like my family around me!

Shawn, in Layton, and David, in St George, are far enough away. Now David and family will be out-of-state. I know how few times I made it to St. Louis when Melanie was there and how few times I make it to see any of the rest of you. Period! I don't even see Julie more than a couple of times a week and she lives in the same town. I think it is hard for me to let the grandkids know how much I love them when I live so far away. It is hard to let the grown-ups know how much I care. I don't think I do a good long-distance job of grandmothering or mothering. Perhaps you all have some ideas for me.

Michael is now a Teacher. We did the ordination today in quorum meeting.
Then we stuck around while he cleared away the sacrament from the morning's
meeting. It was a cozy little setting with myself, the Bishop and the YM
1st Counselor. Amy and the kids were present as well.

I like my family around me.

I will really miss David, Bree, Erin and Donovin. I am having a difficult time with this. I guess I am going to have to get used to having half of my family out-of-state. Shawn, in Layton, and David, in St George, are far enough away. Now David and family will be out-of-state. Little Scare

I guess I didn't explain well what happened as far as the recall for more views on the mammo. I went last week for my annual mammo. I didn't think anymore about it until Monday afternoon. We went to Provo to the dentist that morning because he wanted to check on my tooth. We also took the old TV up to Siovhan. When I got home, I had the news that I needed to have "more views" because there was an area of concern. I called Amy J because she knows about mammos. She told me not to worry because out of 125 mammos each month, 20 or so are called to come back in. (By the way, I didn't even tell her happy birthday.) However, that was telling a worry wart not to worry. I could not get back in until Friday because they have to have a radiologist present to review the films so you do not have to worry so long after having the second mammo done. However, the first shots were not satisfactory and I had to have another, more specific view taken. I have an area where there is something but it compresses and, therefore, cannot be cancer. I meet with my doctor on Thursday and he will explain what they found and why I don't have to worry. It just looked white to me.

Don't feel unloved. I love you all. Do you want to hear about everything that happens to Dad and I? I think not, you would just be concerned. In fact, when Dad said he was giving me a blessing "for my problem" and that Jim was going to help, I said, "Which problem? My mammo results, my tooth, my hip, my elbow, my shoulder, my lower back?" He said, "I'll just bless you from your head to your toes." And he did.

It is a good plan. Now we just need to do the same for him.
