I think the same president may be reelected.
Do you think that Romney is going to lose?
Dad and I went to the move, "2016, Obama's America," and we were scared to death. It seems that Obama is an anti-colonialist and he thinks that America is one of those countries that has "raped" other countries of their goods and made ourselves rich on the backs of those countries. He is also a communist. I was telling Julie about it and she was not certain that the documentary was not skewed. Of course, she voted for Obama last time because she and Jim thought that the Republican ticket was just "scary the last time around and we had no choice."
At any rate, I have some concerns with Obama being able to become a dictator and stay in office forever: to hang with the constitution. I know that that is on his agenda or that, at least, he would like it to be. He would like us to have an economic collapse because it would level the playing field between us and the other countries that we have been wicked to such as China and the Arabian countries. He was also raised to be a communist by his grandparents and his mother. He is also Islamic. I am a bit concerned in light of revelations about the latter days and the constitution hanging as though by a thread.
It looks to me as if Obama is going to win because most people do not know his religious affiliations any more than they know ours. They do not want a Mormon in office. I worry about that. I was reading that the Black ministers from the south are telling their folks to stay home and not vote either way.

My name is Vivian Fivecoat and I am trying to put together a family genealogy book and I think we may be related albeit distance wise. My grandparents on my maternal side were Earl George and Chasta Jean Stevenson. They had a large family. My mother Darlene Jean Stevenson was one daughter another was Betty Trauntvien who was married to a Mr. Trauntvien. They had a son named Neldon Lee Trauntvien who married a woman named Linda. They had three daughters that I know of Linda Lee, Bridgette and Yvette.
Can you / would you help me fill in the blanks? My plans are one or two pages of history bio on each family member along with pictures and copies of birth marriage death certificates.

I am your Facebook friend who suggested other family members for you and caused trouble. I am Myrna Trauntvein, wife of Leonard Trauntvein, cousin of Neldon. Eva Dixon, Helen Trauntvein and Don Trauntvein are Leonard's siblings. They are the children of Jens Henry Martin and Gladys Rostron Trauntvein. They had a baby brother, James, who died shortly after birth. In birth order they are: James, Eva, Helen, Don and Leonard. We have eight children: Shawn, Melanie, Todd, Eric, AnnMarie, Julie, Kirsten and David. All of them are married and we have 33 grandchildren. Neldon's father and my husband's father were brothers. Neldon's father was also Neldon (Uncle Ned). He was killed (Uncle Ned) when the mine caved in on him. Neldon, the son, was just a baby then.

Outstanding Experience at the Manti Temple Friday
Gramps and I had one outstanding experience at the temple Friday evening one week ago. Just outside Nephi on Thursday evening two men were killed in an airplane accident. Robert Marion Lamb, 45, a flight instructor from Woodland Hills, and Peter John Mrowiec, 58, an attorney from Ontario, Canada, died in the crash when their plane was forced from the air because of stormy weather. Of course, I had to cover it for the paper. That was Thursday. Friday evening on our shift, the night or evening shift, we received word that a young man, the son of Robert Lamb, was coming to the temple to receive his own endowments. We were told to be kind and thoughtful because it had not even been 24-hours since the father/husband of the family had died. Of course, when the mom and other family came to the temple they were still fairly upset.
I was at the initiatory desk, that was my assignment as one of the assistant coordinators of the shift, so I was able to hug them and welcome them to the temple. I was also able to encourage them. That was a personal blessing because you know how the spirit guides you and I felt His presence.
Usually, as you know, the temple president, in this case President Pinegar, meets just with the young man and his escort. However, in this case, he took the entire family into his office and taught them from the scriptures. He shared his experience in losing his young son in a tragic accident and blessed the family members. The young man also has a brother who is in the mission field in South America. This young man, I believe, was going to Spain. The women had 40 family members on that session and the men a like amount, give or take a few. Each of them did a Lamb family file card.
When the session was over, President Pinegar met with the family again just to see how they were. The young Elder said he had never had such a wonderful experience in his life. He told President Pinegar that his father’s spirit sat between him and his uncle, who was his escort, the entire session.
His mother had thought, that in light of what had happened, perhaps they should postpone the temple night they had planned. However, the Elder thought that his father would want them to continue with the plans they had made and would like his uncle to be his escort so they all had come.
President Pinegar received a thank you note from the family just this week.
I was so grateful that we have the priesthood in our church to, in the name of our Father and His Son, bless the lives of all. What a gift it is. What a blessing. If the Savior had been at the temple that night in person, He could not have done more than President Pinegar did through the gifts of the priesthood and acting in the name of the Savior. He would have comforted them and would have reviewed the Plan of Happiness with them as well. He would have blessed them and loved them. President Pinegar did all of that as a representative of Christ. How blessed we are. How thankful I am.
I am getting on top of the type 2 diabetes! I have lost 13 pounds and have my blood sugar down from 124 to 105. That is without medication--just diet. That is pretty good, I think. The big thing is that I feel SO much better. I might last a couple of more years.

It was good to hear from you. You are having so many spiritual experiences that it makes me happy to hear of them. How our Heavenly Father blesses those who try to do the right. Of course, this letter is also from Gramps and he feels the same way. Auntie AnnMarie says that each letter that she reads from you makes her want to hurry and go on a mission with Uncle Brandon so that she can share those same kinds of experiences. Of course, she has a few years to wait. Rachel is still a little girl. She will have great experiences through Kyle and Matthew.

I am glad that you got to see President Monson's birthday party. He is such a great man. Heavenly Father certainly gives His prophets experiences that help shape them for the better. Of course, He picks special people to begin with.

About Missionary Letters
I can't wait to go on my mission with Brandon so I can have the experiences that Ben and Michael are having at the MTC. They are such good examples to all of us. Both of them have shared such powerful testimonies that I am excited for them to do so in the real world. It is clear that it is Ben's time to go, and it is clear that Michael is well on his way to knocking on anyone's door in California.
I am so proud to be their Auntie.

Hey! From Michael
Hi everybody!
We had a few things happen this week that I'll tell you about. First, I've seen Elder Ben Bolton a few times this week - we have the same lunch hour - and I saw his big brother Braden yesterday on my way to lunch! It was pretty neat seeing them! I also saw Elder Beenfield, who I served one of my mini missions with - he works as a security guard here now! I wish I had gotten a picture, but I left my camera in the classroom that day. So far that's all the people I've seen, but my best friend Cody Pickett is coming in this Wednesday, so I hope I'll be able to see him a few times before he ships out to Colorado Springs. I'm way excited - It's almost like Christmas! Hahaha.
Again, thanks to everyone who has sent me packages. Thanks, mom for the raincoats, etc., and thanks AnnMarie for the T-shirts, and thanks Rachel and Branden for the candy, and thanks Grandma and Grandpa Gordon for the donuts and cookies, and thanks Grandma and Grandpa Trauntvein for the card! With all the food I've been getting, I'm becoming the favorite missionary in the district! Hahaha. I practically had to fight off all the missionaries begging for donuts :P
We're doing fantastic out here. We are now teaching two new investigators: Anderson and Enthony. We've only taught them once each so far, so I don't know a whole lot about them. They seem like pretty cool guys and they're a lot easier to teach than Abel! hahaha. (Either that or we're just getting better at Spanish, which is possible). We're getting to know each other better as a district, which is fantastic. I love these guys so much. The three Guatemalan Elders are leaving this week and we're all going to be sad to see them go. They make up a decent third of our district and bring such a great spirit into the group. BUT, we all know they'll be off to bigger and better things, so I guess it will all be ok.
Sorry I don't have any awesome stories or anything; all our time is taken up by Spanish study. Not having any free time is difficult, but I know this program is inspired and that we'll make it through. They say the days here are like weeks, but the weeks are like days. That is so true! I can't believe I've been here for two and a half weeks already! It's weird to think that, had I been going to an English mission I would be shipping out in just a few days. Oh! I don't know if I told you, but my first Sunday here, they asked me to give a talk on Enduring to the End - all in Spanish! I had only been here, like, three days and I was so scared I left the notebook I wrote the talk in in my classroom! I didn't realize it, though until I was on the stand, ready to speak. I had my Spanish Preach My Gospel and Book of Mormon and that was it. I don't know how I did it, but I got up there and I just started talking. It was some of the best Spanish I had ever spoken in my life. I gave the whole talk I had written out and bore my testimony, only asking for help with a word once or twice. I felt the Spirit so strong when I did so, and I knew that Heavenly Father was proud of me. After Sacrament Meeting, I had missionaries that had been here seven and eight weeks telling me I gave a better talk than they could. It made me feel so good inside that, even though I forgot my notebook, I had been obedient and the Lord had blessed me for it.
I know that this is the Lord's True Church. I know that without a doubt. In my short time here, I have grown closer to my Savior and Redeemer than I ever have before. I know that He was there in the beginning with the Father, that by Him and through Him, the worlds are, and were created. I know that He sent us here that we might learn and grow that we might progress eternally. He came in the meridian of time, not to condemn the world, but that through Him, the world might be saved. He took upon Himself our each and every sin and died that we might live. As the Son of the Father, he could not be killed; He gave His own life voluntarily to finish the Work. I know that His Gospel has been restored in these, the last days, and that it shall never again be taken from the Earth. I know that as a missionary, I have been Called of God as His special witness and it is my duty to administer His Truth unto this people that they might come closer unto Christ. I also know that He will return in the end to rule among the children of men, and in that day there shall be no more sorrow nor fear. I know these things without a shadow of a doubt. This is my work and my glory, to invite others to come unto Christ through faith in Him, repentance, baptism, the reception of the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. I testify that these things are true and do so in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Petty
This interesting name is of early medieval English and Scottish origin, and derives from the medieval Anglo-Norman French term "petit", small, a word of obscure and isolated origin, thought to be a "nursery word". It was used as a nickname for a small person, as in the recording of Walter le Petiit, in the Wiltshire Assize Rolls of 1249, and also to distinguish the younger of two bearers of the same given name.
