Hej Myrna og Trauntwein
Thanks for your letters. I never get around to doing much anymore. It seams like I am always busy, but never gets anything done. Right now I am sitting here by my computer, because there isn’t anywhere else to be in the house. Erling is taking the old lack off the floor downstairs so all the furniture is up here and there is dust everywhere. And then Daniel has moved in with all his furniture, well most of them. Just before Christmas he met some rocker like gays, that wanted him to work under them, and when he would not, the started fighting him. But they shouldn’t have, because when Daniel gets scared, he just hits back. They got so mad, so they came home to him the day before Christmas with a big iron thing used to tare down all houses. We call it a “Koben” and broke down the door and broke his light, his television and his bookcases. So he did not dare stay down there. The police said he had good reason to be scared. But it doesn’t make it more orderly. We have send Daniel and Line to stay with friend, while we are doing this. Erling is so tired, he is working so hard, that poor man. We are going to Århus during the week-end, so our floors can dry up while we are away. Then we are going to have all the furniture back next week. Saturday Janne will be over, and we are going to have a baby shower for Lea, who is going to have a baby in Martz. Janne and Mikkel are going to have another one in July. Mikkel has finally got a job. It is down by Soenderborg, so they will be moving down there. He shall begin 1st of Martz. It a real pretty area, with the fjord on one side and the woods on the other side. There is a little Branch in Sonderborg. I am still enjoying the temple. I try to go every Wednesday, but this week I going Thursday, for Erling wants me out of the house for as long as possible.

Our new next door neighbors (they just moved in at Christmas time when our old neighbors left) have Danish family in Arhus. The wife, next door, is Anna Marie. Her mother was converted to the church in Arhus and baptized there in 1968, I think she said. I will find out more and, perhaps, you might know them. She said her Grandfather and Grandmother still live in Arhus and she, Anna Marie, is going to visit this summer. The Grandfather has cancer.
Is Lea still with the fellow we met? Tell her congratulations on the family addition.
Tell Janne and Mikkel that we are happy for them.
We are having a new addition to our family this year, as well. AnnMarie is having a baby in August. She is quite sick this time. This will be her fifth baby and, more than likely, her last. She has to have Caesarian sections.
Our son, Todd and his family, are moving to Ohio for his work. It is a transfer and promotion. For that we are happy but it is a long way away and we will see them less. That means that Kirsten and family are in Colorado and Melanie and family are in Massachusetts. That gives us three out of state.
We miss you all of the time!

Dear Myrna: Thank you SO much for the lullaby. I needed that. Actually, what I need is a knock in the head with a baseball bat. I quite often can't sleep. As for getting the stuff, I definitely will get it now. If you had not changed the address, however, I would not have gotten it past tonight, cause that's when BigZoo went out of business. The e-mail server has been set to check both accounts, but no longer. I see your niece, Lynda Hale, at dialysis three days a week. She's the "clinical coordinator." From Myrna: All LHTs family call him "Tim." When he was a baby, his older sister, Eva, called him "Tiny Tim." Remember his birthday is on Jan. 8, right after Christmas. The "Tiny" got dropped but the Tim didn't. He asked his friends, when he was older, to call him Leonard. But the family couldn't be commanded.

Mom's favorite treat in New Orleans.
French Market Beignets
1 (1/4-ounce) envelope active dry yeast
1 cup warm water (105° to 115°)
3/4 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 large egg, lightly beaten
4 to 4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Vegetable oil
Sifted powdered sugar
Combine yeast and warm water in a 2-cup liquid measuring cup; let stand 5 minutes.Combine yeast mixture, evaporated milk, and next 3 ingredients. Gradually stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Cover and chill 8 hours.Turn dough out onto a well-floured surface; knead 5 or 6 times. Roll dough into a 15- x 12 1/2-inch rectangle; cut into 2 1/2-inch squares.Pour oil to depth of 3 to 4 inches into a Dutch oven; heat to 375°. Fry 3 or 4 beignets at a time, 1 minute on each side or until golden. Drain; sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Yield: Makes 2 1/2 dozen

how we are doing
We have another snow day today. This makes for the third one this week. The kids seem to be handling it well. I just don't want to have to go to July for school, Braden won't be able to go that long, because we have Youth Conference at the end of June and he is wanting to come out to EFY at the beginning of July. Anyway, we had 23 inches of snow on Sunday and now we have about two more, with more to come throughout the day. It is a good thing that I grew up in snowy weather and have lived in blizzard like conditions before. I think I would go crazy if I had come from California, or Florida like some of our friends. The land of eternal sunshine this is not.
I am very thankful for a snowblower. The snow drifts on Sunday were so deep in places that we had to plow, pull the blower back, let the snow cave in and then plow again. Our blower in over two feet tall, that meant that the snow had blown to drifts over 28 inches. We aren't as bad as some of the people in the Stake who have had over three feet of snow. We have had power the whole time, which is more than a lot of people in our Stake. We have been very blessed. The children thank the Lord nightly that we have power and heat in our homes. That makes me very happy that they feel that they have been blessed as well.
